Boot Camp

Parenting is hard work, there are so many things that a child needs to be taught before they head out into the world that the task can be daunting. Despite many parents’ best efforts, we are seeing many youth entering the adult world ill prepared to meet the challenges it presents due to a lack of resources or knowledge.
The path to higher education and comfortable living is not as simple and direct as it once was. Getting into top schools is ultra competitive and many youth have coaches, preparatory classes, and many other advantages available to them that give them the edge.
The Debutante & Esquire Boot Camp is making the job of parenting easier by compiling important resources into one place and sharing them with our parents and participants. We want to make sure that teens and our community are ready to take on the world and have success! Our mission is to transform teens into young ladies and gentlemen who will make a positive impact in their community, live a life of purpose, and fulfill their dreams.
Debutante & Esquire Boot Camp
The Debutante & Esquire Boot Camp is the first step in this comprehensive project.
Unlike typical Boot Camps that tend to be geared towards “troubled” teens, the Debutante & Esquire Boot Camp is an African Centered intense preparatory program designed to help good teens avoid trouble, by engaging them in productive positive activities.
In addition to informative workshops throughout the ten weeks of the program, upon satisfactory completion of the Boot Camp, participants have the option to join Tau Omega Kappa to continue the work and activities they experience in the camp (Joining is not mandatory, but is only open to Boot Camp graduates). Participants and parents will have access to a wealth of information, programs, and services compiled by Boot Camp partner organizations.
